After hearing that a new head chef was coming on board I got excited. Then I learned the chef from Electric Cheetah was coming to the Old Goat...I was ECSTATIC! (I really like Electric Cheetah) A Couple days ago I saw that they released their summer menu and new that this was the right time to try the Old Goat again!
Moscow Mule (Not Pictured)
The Empire Strikes Mac (Cider) (Not Pictured)
Baby Back Ribs
For the Entrees, I was super excited to see RIBS on the menu. The Baby Back Ribs packed an enormous amount of flavor and were a marriage of a dry rubbed rib and a saucy rib. Perfection! The Fried Chicken was super moist and crispy! I had their fried chicken a previous time and it was a little lackluster. This time around was a without a doubt winner. Next up, The Heights sandwich. Reading the description on the menu, SOLD it 100% "House smoked turkey, white cheddar, blackberry jam, pork belly, lemon aioli, and pea shoots on a toasted brioche bun." So many foodie words that struck every chord in my body. "House smoked"...YAS..."White Cheddar" ...YAS..."Blackberry JAM" OH YEA!..."Pork belly":::Falls on the floor::: SOLD! I could eat this every single day. Every component was done amazingly well and no ingredient out shined the rest.
Great start to the summer at the Old Goat! I will be back soon!
